A handmade mixture of porcelain (98%) and red German stoneware (2%) gives this vessel its vibrancy. The interrupted rim of red porcelain is a reference to the years of development that went into the porcelain-stoneware mixtures and the time invested in them.
The piece is fired to 1,280 degrees Celsius through a complex reduction firing process in a gas kiln.
