Fundaziun Uccelin
Sarah and Andreas Caminada founded Fundaziun Uccelin in 2015 with the aim of supporting young cooking and service enthusiasts. A tailor-made programme gives scholarship holders the opportunity to explore the global world of gourmet cooking – in collaboration with top restaurants and producers on all continents. As one of 30 partner producers of the Uccelin Foundation, I offer a week-long insight into the production of porcelain tableware on the potter's wheel.
Uccelin means 'little bird' in Romansh. And because the name of the foundation for promoting young gastronomic talent says it all, it aims to help scholarship holders fly in their profession. With the help of a unique network of restaurants and producers.
Since March 2024, I have been sharing my insights with seven Uccelins, showing them how to work with porcelain and explaining the possibilities it offers.
