The design of the tableware collection was developed in collaboration with Andreas Caminada and Marcel Skibba for Schloss Schauenstein based on over 150 prototypes. Both starred chefs run a Michelin restaurant in Fürstenau, Switzerland, which has been awarded the highest rating of three stars and 19 GaultMillau points. The restaurant celebrated its 20th anniversary in December 2023.
Each piece is unique and handmade in Switzerland. The porcelain is thrown on a potter's wheel and fired at up to 1,300 degrees Celsius under the direct influence of flames in an oxygen-reduced atmosphere.
This process gives it a unique color and makes it dense and robust. The collection comprises over 40 models and is produced exclusively for Schloss Schauenstein .
This collaboration gave rise to the porcelain line for Atelier CAMINADA, which includes selected pieces for use at home.
