A mixture of porcelain (99%) and red German stoneware (1%) gives this vessel its vibrancy while allowing it to retain its white-blue colour.
The interrupted rim of red porcelain is a reference to the years of development that went into the porcelain-stoneware mixtures and the time invested in them. Fired at 1,280 degrees Celsius in a gas kiln (reduction firing).
