This piece, inspired by my trip to Korea last year, takes its name from the poppy flower – French Coquelicot. It is designed as an espresso cup and holds approx. 50 ml.
Made of porcelain, fully transparent glazed and additionally coated with an oxblood glaze (copper). Fired at 1,280 degrees Celsius in a gas kiln (reduction firing). Each piece is unique, making exact repetition impossible and contributing to the appeal of this piece and the firing process.

Porcelain is a natural product crafted by Cornelia Hofstetter using traditional methods. Minor variations in shape, size and visible marks from production highlight its natural quality and are considered desirable features.
This porcelain is dishwasher safe and has been carefully smoothed multiple times using diamond sandpaper. For tough stains on unglazed surfaces, you can use scouring powder with a damp cloth or clean with a Magic Sponge.
