The combination of a cup and plate for serving soft-boiled eggs was inspired by a design for Silvio Germann's Mammertsberg restaurant and hotel. I believe that the same considerations that apply to a hotel also meet the requirements of home use and give the egg the value it deserves.
This egg cup is part of the collection designed for Atelier CAMINADA in collaboration with Andreas Caminada and Marcel Skibba, which is also available in the Concept Store at Schloss Schauenstein in Fürstenau / GR. It is fired in a gas kiln at 1,280 degrees Celsius. A complex process is used to give it its unique colour and robustness.
Each model in the collection is limited to 50 pieces per year. Each piece is unique.
