A mixture of porcelain (99%) and red German stoneware (1%) gives this vessel its vibrancy while still allowing it to retain its white-blue color.
The interrupted rim of red porcelain is a nod to the years of development of the porcelain-stoneware mixtures and the time invested in their creation. Fired at 1280 degrees in a gas kiln (reduction firing).

Porcelain is a natural product and is processed by Cornelia Hofstetter according to pure craftsmanship principles. Slight variations in shape and size, as well as features that emphasise its naturalness and traces of the manufacturing process, are desirable characteristics.
