The unglazed, matt porcelain has a unique look, which is why I left the rim of this plate slightly wider. It still has enough space for all kinds of things.
It is made from a mixture of 98% porcelain and 2% stoneware and was fired in an electric kiln at 1,275 degrees Celsius. This gives it its beige colour, which is slightly darker than classic porcelain due to the addition of red stoneware. The black dots are small iron pyrites that are completely enclosed in the porcelain.
