Hand thrown from a mixture of 98% porcelain and 2% stoneware, this medium-sized jar is ideal for serving salt, sugar or spices, as well as small nuts or sweets. The delicate porcelain spoon is a matching accessory, but can easily be replaced with any spoon of your choice. The opening carved out of the porcelain fits all types of spoons.
This mixture of porcelain and stoneware was fired in an electric kiln at 1,275 degrees Celsius. This gives it its beige colour, which is slightly darker than classic porcelain due to the addition of red stoneware. The black dots are small iron pyrites that are completely enclosed in the porcelain.
